Ford's first product to resemble a car was the Quadricycle, which rode on bicycle wheels and was steered with a tiller. The 1908 Ford Model T proved to be a huge success and within ten years the vehicle accounted for more than half of the cars in America. Ford developed mass-production techniques such as the automobile assembly line and the use of identical parts across the model lineup. The company would go on to launch iconic cars like the Ford Mustang and Ford F-150, in addition to beating Ferrari at Le Mans.
