Jeep Grand Cherokee Safety

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has delivered on safety since it arrived in 1993. Every model comes with anti-lock braking (ABS), and you always get four-wheel drive with the current generation for getting through wintry weather. The current generation (introduced in 2011) features a rearview camera, with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection becoming standard in 2019. This latest model also includes a 7-inch touch screen, though some drivers suggest it’s tricky to use.

Eco Mode on the current Grand Cherokee saves you money at the pumps. Even V8 models like the hardcore 707 HP Trackhawk use cylinder deactivation to save fuel. That means when you hit the highway, your ride will switch automatically to four cylinders.

The Grand Cherokee is a Jeep for the whole family. It may not offer three rows of seats, but that translates to plenty of second-row space for kids and adults alike. That said, some drivers report a lack of storage space within the cabin. Trunk space is also limited compared to bigger rivals.
