Used Honda Accords for sale

The first Honda Accord went on sale in North America in 1977. Honda had become a major import brand through the economical and well-built Honda Civic, but it was smaller than its rivals. Enter the Honda Accord, originally a two-door hatchback powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine. It was immediately praised for its handling and fuel economy and the second and third generations built on these qualities while adding increased space for passengers and cargo. Power also improved with the fifth generation while the Honda Accord styling became more rounded.

Generations over the years

The Honda Accord continued to draw praise over its sixth and seventh generations with upgraded engines and ever-increasing dimensions, keeping its handling fun while making it even more practical. The eighth generation grew again and was reclassified as a full-size car. The handling became a little softer around the edges and buyers feared the Honda Accord had lost some of its sporting prowess. This was remedied by the ninth generation with reduced dimensions that made it a mid-size vehicle once again. The tenth generation improved the handling further with new chassis tuning.
