Audi A4 Safety

Every Audi A4 model offers a suite of safety features. Even the earliest generations include four-wheel anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and airbags. Later generations include front seat knee airbags, helping the A4 earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating. Standard four-wheel drive means the A4 copes well in all seasons.

Other safety features in newer models, from 2015, include:

• Blind spot warning system, optional on the Premium Plus
• Standard front side and full-length side curtain airbags
• Adaptive cruise control, which alerts you and applies the brakes if it detects an impact is imminent—included in the Prestige
• Optional rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors

Audi A4 Interior

The Audi A4 has long been known for its premium interiors. Older models featured cloth or leather seats, while models from 2010 are exclusively leather. A range of colour choices includes black, rich brown or light grey. Every modern A4 comes with heated front seats.

For an additional price, drivers can choose these features:

• Heated leather steering wheel
• Ventilated front seats with memory function to remember your personal seat settings
• Heated rear seats

Audi A4 Technology

Like most luxury cars, the Audi A4 comes with an array of technology features. Many of these are add-ons, but a rearview camera, tire pressure monitoring system and remote keyless entry are all standard on 2018+ models—otherwise, they come with premium trims or navigation packages in models from 2009. 

Not all of the A4's tech focuses on safety. An optional Bang & Olufsen sound system plays music through 19 speakers. Audi's optional Virtual Cockpit replaces the traditional driver dials with a multimedia screen. The Multi Media Interface (MMI) controls most functions and is one of the easiest of its type to use.

Audi A4 Space

A 2,820 mm wheelbase gives the Audi A4 a surprising amount of space for a compact sedan. Rear-seat occupants may find legroom to be limited, depending on the front seat position. The A4's trunk is a reasonable size, but the rear seats can't be folded flat, restricting the total storage space. 

Audi A4 Comfort

Passengers will enjoy the A4's comfortable seats, no matter the material. The A4 will fit a family of five and welcomes the family dog with a range of pet-friendly accessories. Even in its sportier trims, the A4 rides smoothly, making long-distance trips ache-free.
