The Acura MDX is a mid-size seven-seater luxury crossover SUV which first went on sale in the year 2000. Now in its fourth model generation, the Acura MDX was the first vehicle in its segment to come with three rows of seating. The Acura MDX launched with a 3.5-litre gas V6 engine featuring Honda's VTEC technology paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The original Acura MDX featured automatic four-wheel drive, which was replaced by Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system for the second generation's launch in 2007.
