The second-generation BMW 4 Series convertible
The second generation model of the BMW 4 Series was released in 2020 and continued the tradition of offering three body styles: convertible, coupe or a five-door liftback. While currently still in production, the updated models share their design with the latest BMW 3 Series, the seventh generation version first released in 2018. However, unlike the first generation BMW 4 Series, the second generation versions are drastically different from their BMW 3 Series counterpart. The newer BMW 4 Series is considered much more upscale than its design twin and is easily distinguishable by its large grille inspired by 1930s vehicles.
