The Chevrolet Cruze is a compact car introduced in 2008 available in sedan and hatchback variants. The Chevrolet Cruze launched in North America in 2010 for the 2011 model year. Introduced to replace the Chevrolet Cobalt, the first-generation Chevrolet Cruze featured front-wheel drive and came with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine as standard. A turbocharged 1.4-litre was available on the higher LT and LTZ trims, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine was available between 2014 and 2016. An Eco model was also available, which placed greater emphasis on fuel economy through weight savings. A six-speed manual transmission came standard with a six-speed automatic available as an option.

The Chevrolet Cruze scored well in crash testing and received praise from reviewers for its infotainment system, comfortable ride and ample storage. It received an update in 2012 featuring new wheels and a redesigned fascia before the second generation debuted in 2016. The second-generation Chevrolet Cruze did away with the 1.8-litre engine and added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Chevrolet Cruze ended North American production in 2019 with Chevrolet, deciding to focus its attention on its line of SUVs and pickup trucks.
